Day 3 and 4: Wed. and Thurs. - Sick! Lithostrotus and Ein Karem (John the Baptist) and Sion Convent

I'm not a happy pilgrim. Spent a lot of the day in bed due to dehydration and missed the tour to the Mount of Olives,. I like olives and I'm sad I missed it. Luckily it is not far and I'll be able walk there another day.

I did start the day with a walk though. A few of the Tassie pilgrims and I ventured out before breakfast ... And look what we found in the old Christian quarter ... My shop..

tonight we had a tour of the Lithostrotus under the convent we are calling home. Unbelievably this place was built over an Roman arch built by  Hadrian in 135CE. There is also a cistern built a little earlier and part of a roman pavement that was discovered and exposed for all to see. Here is a picture of that road.
